A brace by Timothy Thomas handed Msida St. Joseph a 2-0 win over in-form Dingli Swallows in one of the two matches from the BOV Third Division at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Thomas put Msida ahead on the 74th and doubled the score deep into stoppage time.
In another match, Marsaskala came back from two goals down to beat Mdina Knights 3-2 in a most dramatic fashion.
Ryan Micallef put Mdina ahead on the 9th minute and Daniel Cremona doubled the score on the 37th. However Margeith Scicluna converted a oenalty on the 79th to reduce the gap and Radnor Farrugia equalised on the 87th. Deep into stoppage time, Semu Maher Hajy notched the winner for Marsakala.
Attard lead the way with 34 points, followed by Siggiewi on 32, Kirkop and Gharghur and Msida 29, Dingli, Ghaxaq and Marsaskala 24, Mdina 11, Mtarfa 10, Sta. Venera 6 and Ta’ Xbiex 4.
