One match ban for eleven Premier League players

Eleven Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Nenad Sljivic (Balzan), Matthew Guillaumier and Enrico Pepe (Birkirkara), Imanol Gonzalez Benac (Gudja), Fernando Barbosa (Gzira), Valdo Gonalves Alhinho and Manuel Bartolo (Hamrun), Zachary Brincat (Mosta), Luis Riascos Torres (Santa Lucia), Dejan Debono (Senglea) and Kevin Tulimieri (Valletta) were all banned for one match and are therefore ruled out of the next league matches in programme between March 6 and 8.

Guillaumier, Pepe and Barbosa are ruled out of the clash between Gzira United and Birkirkara. Sljivic will skip the match against Tarxien, Dejan Debono is ruled out of the clash with Sliema, Zachary Brincat and Luis Riascos will skip Santa Lucia vs Mosta; Hamrun will be without Valdo Alhino and Manuel Bartolo for the game against Hibernians while Tulimieri and Gonzalez are ruled out of Valletta vs Gudja.

Hamrun Spartans official Antonio Governucci was banned for two matches.

In Division 1, Aiden Galea (Lija), Andrei Spiteri (Mqabba), Mead Mifsud (Naxxar), David Azzopardi (Qrendi) and Renan Sgaria Farias (Vittoriosa) were all handed a one-match ban. Naxxar official Victor Bellia was suspended for one match.

Samba Camara (Luqa), Francesco Gusman (Marsa), Max Borg Bartolo (Marsaxlokk), Michael Cachia (Melita), Yaron Sammut (Mellieha), Luca Mallia and Justin Zammit (San Gwann) and Lee James Agius (Xghajra) were suspended for one match in Division 2. Xghajra official Neil Attard was handed a three-match ban.

In Division 3, Jurgen Gauci (Attard), Allan Fernandes Moreira (Gharghur), Eman Camilleri (Marsaskala), David Mifsud (Mdina), Julian Zammit (Msida) and Darren Charles Galea (Siggiewi) were banned for one match.
