The draws for the National League were held on Friday by MFA General Secretary Dr Angelo Chetcuti and former Malta international player Nicky Saliba in the presence of the MFA Director Football Operations Stephen Azzopardi.
BOV Challenge League
Fifteen teams will be taking part this season. The league will be played on double round-robin basis between September 11-13 and April 25 and the Play-Off on April 30. Matches will be played on Saturdays and Sundays at the Centenary Stadium and the Victor Tedesco Stadium but there will be five mid-week programmes.
The top two teams will be promoted to the Premier League; the team placing third will be playing the Premier League Play-Off against the team placing twelfth in the Premier League. The bottom five will be relegated to the National Amateur League.

BOV National Amateur League
The twenty two teams were divided into one section of eight teams and two sections of seven teams. The three sections will be played on a triple round-robin basis.
The regular season will be played between 16-18 October and 18 April. The play-offs will be concluded on May 12. Matches will be played mainly on Saturdays and Sundays Victor Tedesco Stadium, Luxol Stadium, Sirens Stadium and Centenary Stadium
The three section winners will be promoted. A fourth team to be promoted will emerge from the National Amateur League Play-Offs. The clubs placed in the second, third, and fourth place of each section shall participate in the Play Offs. Two of the fourth-placed teams will play in the first round of the Play-Offs and the winner will join the remaining seven teams in the second round. The second round will be followed by the semi-finals and final.
