Xewkija Tigers, Victoria Hotspurs and Kercem Ajax registered their second win in the BOV Gozo Football League First Division.

The Hotspurs defeated SK Victoria Wanderers 4-1 in the derby. A penalty by Rodrigo Ost dos Santos put the Hotspurs ahead on the 28th and Shaun Attard doubled the score two minutes later. Aud-Gustine James Obaje had a penalty saved by the goalkeeper and Christian Mercieca increased the lead on the 68th. Obaje pulled one back on the 74th but three minutes later, Henrique Maciel made it 4-1.

Kercem Ajax defeated Oratory Youths 2-0 thanks to a Samuel Saldanha penalty on the 53rd and a goal by Joshua Buttigieg on the 60th. On the other hand, a goal by Jhon Sandobal Guarin two minutes from the end of the first half handed Xewkija Tigers a narrow win over Sannat Lions.

Nadur Youngsters opened their account with a win thanks to a 3-0 win over Xaghra United thanks to three late goals. Gabriel Farrugia opened the score on the 81st and 87th with Ederson Bruno Gomes on the 88th.

Meanwhile the BOV Gozo Football League kicked-off with a most comfortable win 7-0 for Munxar Falcons over St. Lawrence Spurs, goals by Luke Attard on the 17th, Neville Haber on the 36th, Ayseller Carvalho on the 49th (penalty) and 79th, Steve Dimech on the 71st and 88th and Robert Grima on the 81st.

In another match, Qala Saints defeated Gharb Rangers 3-2 in an entertaining clash.

Luke Attard put Gharb ahead on the 24th but Ebube Ralph Okpokwu equalised on the 33rd. However just before half-time, Attard restored the lead for the Rangers. Okpowku made it 2-2 on the 67th and notched the winner on the 86th after Gharb were reduced to ten men.

In the BOV GFA Cup, Munxar Falcons defeated Zebbug Rovers 3-2 after extra-time. Munxar went two goals ahead thanks to Bartomeu Perello Palou on the 19th and Orlando Atzori on the 45th. Luke Meilaq pulled one back on the 52nd and Steve Dimech equalised on the 79th to force extra-time. Derek Paul Borg notched the winner twelve minutes in the second half of extra-time.
