Victoria, Xewkija only teams with maximum points after match-day 3

Victoria Hotspurs and Xewkija Tigers are the only teams with maximum points from three matches after match-day 3 in the BOV Gozo Football League First Division.

Xewkija defeated SK Victoria Wanderers by the odd goal in five. Goals by Gabriel Cardona on the 32nd and Emerson Zammit on the 62nd put the Wanderers two goals ahead but Rodney Buttigieg reduced the gap on the 69th, Joel Xuereb equalised on the 73rd and Claudio Antunes converted a penalty on the 87th to notch the winner.

Victoria Hotspurs defeated Oratory Youths 3-1 thanks to goals by Shaun Attard on the 19th, a Rodrigo Ost dos Santos penalty on the 23rd and Christian Attard on the 35th with Karolis Chvedukas scoring a consolation goal for the Youths on the 35th.

Ghajnsielem and Nadur Youngsters earned a point each in a 1-1 draw thanks to goals by Ederson Bruno Domingos for Nadur on the 43rd and Igor Nedeljkovic on the 57th for Ghajnsielem.

Sannat Lions defeated Xaghra United 3-0 courtesy of Joseph Zammit on the 19th, Fabian Xuereb on the 57th and Damon Hili on the hour.

Meanwhile in the BOV Gozo Football League Second Division, an Ebube Ralph Okpokwu hat-trick on the 45th, 64th and 80th handed Qala a comfortable 3-0 win over St. Lawrence Spurs.

Zebbug Rangers defeated Munxar 2-1. Bartomeu Perello Palou converted a penalty to put Zebbug ahead on the 22nd, Steve Dimech equalised on the 37th but Lucas Farrugia made it 2-1 for the Rovers.

A goal by Charles Hili on the 26th handed Gharb Rangers a narrow win over Zebbug Rangers.

In another match, Munxar Falcons and Qala Saints shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
