Four Premier League players suspended

Four Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Predrag Djordjevic (Hamrun), Rei Tachikawa (Santa Lucia), Brandon Muscat (Tarxien) and Sergio Barboza da Silva Junior (Zejtun) are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s matches.

Djordjevic and Tachikawa are ruled out of Hamrun vs Santa Lucia Sergio Barboza skips the clash with Senglea while Brandon Muscat is ruled out of the game against Gzira.

Meanwhile in the BOV Challenge League, Sergio Hili (Fgura), Josmar Galea (Marsa), Gianfranco Micallef (Mqabba), Kyle Sciberras Balbi (Pembroke), Ishaya Irimiya Jalo (Pieta), Iven Zammit (Qormi), Denilson Borg Castaldi (Vittoriosa), Kevaughn Atkinson, Clive Gauci and Gaetano Gesualdi (Zebbug) were all banned for one match while Joseph Farrugia (Vittoriosa) was handed a three-match suspension.

In the BOV National Amateur League, Gaynor DAmato and Alan Tabone (Kalkara), Lydin Camilleri and Brandon Saliba (Kirkop), Daniel Axiaq, Dalton Caruana and Lee Cuschieri (Mdina), Julian Galea and Nigel Rizzo (Melita), Joseph Paul Zammit (Mgarr), McAllister Clinch (Mtarfa), Adam Smeir (Rabat), Melchior Grech (Xghajra) and Anderjay Grech (Zabbar) were suspended for one match. Marsaskala official Norman Martin was suspended for two matches.
