Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner.

The players are Darko Gojkovic (Hamrun), Sunday Akinbule (Mosta), Jurgen Pisani and Andre Prates (Santa Lucia), Edmond Agius and Valmir Berisha (Sliema).

Gojkovic, Agius and Berisha are ruled out of Hamrun vs Sliema, Pisani and Prates will skip the clash with Balzan while Akinbule will be unavailable for the game against Gudja.

In the BOV Challenge League, Joao Pedro Oliveira Santos (Lija), Julian Camilleri and Ryan Schembri (Luqa), Gonzalo Virano (Marsa), Gennaro Milone (Mgarr), Sebastian Perdomo Esquivel and Steven Schembri (Qrendi), Matthew Bartolo (St. Andrews), Jean Claude Debattista (Swieqi) were all banned for one match while Jonathan Bajada (Pembroke) was handed a two-match ban.

On the other hand, in the National Amateur Cup, Sebastian Fenech (Sta. Venera) was suspended for three matches while Liam Ciantar (Kalkara), Adrian Carabott (Marsaskala) and Clint Barbara (Xghajra) were all banned for one match.
