Eight Premier League players suspended

Eight Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following match-day 12.

Fernando Brandan (Sirens) was banned for three matches, Farid Romero Zuniga (Gudja) for two while Ryan Scicluna (Birkirkara), Ulises Jose Arias and Christian Rutjens (Floriana), Tensior Gusman (Gudja), Alan da Silva Souza (Santa Lucia) and Carlo Zammit Lonardelli (Sirens) were all handed a one-match ban.

Brandan will miss Sirens’ next three matches against Mosta, Hibernians and Santa Lucia with Zammit Lonardelli also missing the Mosta game. Romero is ruled out of Gudja’s next two matches against Hibernians and Santa Lucia with Gusman also missing the Hibs game. Floriana could not count on Arias and Rutjens for the clash with Slliema. Scicluna is ruled out for Birkirkara’s game against Hamrun while Alan da Silva will miss the next game for Santa Lucia against Gzira.

In the BOV Challenge League, Peter Paul Sammut and Ryan Tonna (Marsaxlokk), Mead Mifsud (Naxxar), Christian Grech (Zejtun), Gary Bugeja (Qrendi) and Matthew Spiteri (Tarxien) were all suspended for one match. Lija official Colin Ciantar and Mqabba coach Goran Adamovic were also suspended for one match while Naxxar official Adrian Ciappara was suspended for two matches.

In the BOV National Amateur League, Deemer Cutajar (Xghajra), Darren Darmanin (Kirkop), Jonathan Cutajar (Mellieha) and Ryan Bezzina (Sta. Venera) were banned for one match while Miguel Simiana (Zurrieq) was suspended for two matches.
