Leaders Marsaskala returned to winning ways in Group B of the BOV National Amateur League as they defeated Mdina Knights at the Luxol Stadium on Saturday.
Adrian Carabott handed Marsaskala the lead on the 14th minute and although Jordan Debattista equalised on the 31st, Joseph Chetcuti made it 2-1 on the 63rd.
At the Sirens Stadium, a goal by substitute Mikail Camilleri handed Mtarfa a narrow win over Kirkop United as they returned to winning ways to move third.
Marsaskala lead the way with 22 points, followed by Zurrieq on 19, Mtarfa on 16, Zabbar 10, Mdina and Mellieha 9, Qormi 6, Sta. Venera 4 and Kirkop 2.
In Group A, Dingli Swallows extended their positive run to four matches as they beat Ghaxaq 2-1 at the Sirens Stadium.
Giuseppe Versace put Dingli ahead on the 19th. Neil Brownrigg equalised on the 57th but Dario Borg notched the winner four minutes in added time.
The other match between Attard and Ta’ Xbiex was postponed
Gharghur lead the way with 18 points, followed by Kalkara on 16, Attard 13, Birzebbuga 12, Dingli 10, Xghajra 9, Msida 8, Siggiewi 7, Ta’ Xbiex 5 and Ghaxaq 4. Attard had nine points deducted.
