After securing the services of Kemar Reid and Brian Ariel Gimenez, Floriana continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Malta Under-21 international defender Andreas Vella just before the transfer deadline.

A product of Hibernians, Vella moved to Santa Lucia in season 2020/21.
