Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Geoffrey Edwin Acheampong (Mosta) was handed a three-match ban while Kurt Zammit (Birkirkara), Neil Tabone (Gudja), Jamie Zerafa (Santa Lucia), Diego Albanese (Sirens) and Gui Inters (Sliema) were banned for one match.

Acheampong is ruled out of the next three games against Sliema, Gzira and Valetta with Gui Inters also missing Mosta vs Sliema. Kurt Zammit will miss the game against Hibernians, Neil Tabone the match against Balzan, Jamie Zerafa skips the clash with Valletta and Diego Albanese the game against Hamrun.

In the Challenge League, Walter Serrano (Marsaxlokk), Michael Cachia (Melita), Luke Musu (Mqabba), Weverton Gomes (Pembroke), Kyle Mercieca (Vittoriosa), Michael Camilleri (Mgarr), Abdeen Temitope Abdul and Dylan Grima (Pieta’), Michael Micallef and Mirco Vella (Swieqi) were suspended for one match.

Zejtun coach Orosco Anonam was banned for one match.

In the National Amateur League, Nestor Luis Silva Canas (Mtarfa) and Ryan Farrugia (Ghaxaq) were handed a three-match and a two-match ban respectively while Malcolm Attard and Adrian Paul Sammut (Attard), Jean Claude Cassar and Sunday Uforma Ubuwere (Birzebbuga), Nicholas Formosa (Gharghur), Andriy Pisani and Julian Zammit (Kalkara), Alexander Cauchi (Msida), Dylan Attard (Siggiewi), Jacob Farrugia (Mellieha) and Carmelo Caruana (Zurrieq) were suspended for one match.

Attard official Carmelo Caruana was banned for two matches.
