Zebbug Rangers secured promotion to the Premier League thanks to a narrow win over Qrendi in a match from Group B at the Centenary Stadium.
An own goal put Qrendi ahead on the half hour but Shalon Diacono equalised three minutes later and Jonatan Silveira da Silva notched the winner eight minutes from time.
Zebbug lead the way on 42 points, followed by Pieta’ on 36, Tarxien 34, Marsa 33, Fgura 28, St. Andrews 25, Swieqi 24, Qrendi 21, Senglea 15, Mgarr 11 and Luqa 10.
Meanwhile in Group A, Lija Athletic defeated Mqabba in a seven-goal thriller at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
Goals by Lydon Micallef on the 36th and Bradley Sciberras one minute from the end of the first half handed Lija a two-goal lead. Watson Fabrice Hounkpe reduced the gap for Mqabba on the 49th and five minutes later, Luka Mijic added another. Kurt Borg made it 3-2 for Lija on the 56th with Mijic restoring equilibrium on the 68th. However Lydon Micallef made it 4-3 ten minutes from time.
Pembroke lead the way with 45 points, followed by Zejtun on 40, Naxxar 37, Marsaxlokk 35, Melita 30, Lija and San Gwann 27, Mqabba 20, Rabat and Vittoriosa 12 and St. George’s 4.
