Sliema Wanderers registered their second win in the BOV Challenge League as they defeated Marsa 1-0 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Saturday.

Omar Elouni scored the all-important goal one minute from time.

A goal by Arthur Heidrich handed Vittoriosa Stars their first win as they beat Qrendi 1-0 in another match at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.

With a goal in each half, Swieqi United beat Tarxien Rainbows 2-0 at the Centenary Stadium. Jamie Scerri opened the score on the 27th and four minutes in added time, Roderick Taliana sealed the issue with a second goal.

In another match at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Lija Athletic came from behind to beat Marsaskala 4-2. Rundell Winchester put Marsaskala ahead on the 3rd minute and although Duvan Mosquera Torres equalised on the 25th, Ryan Spiteri scored one minute in added time before the end of the first half to restore the lead for Marsaskala. However Leon Muscat was quick to equalise a minute later. In the second half, Duvan Mosquera Torres made it 3-2 for Lija on the 63rd and Elise Okito Lundula added another two minutes from time.
