Sirens finally managed to obtain their first win as a brace by Kei Sano handed them a 2-0 win over Gudja United at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Saturday.
The St. Paul’s Bay side joins Valletta in tenth place on nine points. Gudja, who suffered the third defeat in four matches, are now fifth on 17 points, following the draw between Birkirkara and Hibernians.
Sirens took the lead on the 15th minute when off a cross by Degran Jackson from the right, Matias Muchardi hit the crossbar in an attempt to clear the ball into safety and Kei Sano hit home from close range.
On the 72nd minute, Sirens doubled the score when Rei Tachikawa sent Kei Sano through and the latter anticipated the Gudja defence and placed the ball at the back of the net.
