Nadur Youngsters and Xewkija Tigers secured a place in the Round of 32 of the Izibet FA Trophy after defeating BOV Challenge League sides Vittoriosa Stars and Lija Athletic respectively in matches from the Preliminary Round at the Kercem Arkafort Stadium on Saturday.
In the first match, Nadur defeated Vittoriosa Stars 7-1. Igor Nedeljkovic scored twice within the first seven minutes with goals on the 2nd and the 7th. Gustavo Dourado Ferreira scored two on the 14th and 34th and Predrag Djordjevic extended the lead on the 36th with Nedeljkovic adding another one minute from the end of the first half to put the Youngsters six goals ahead. Eight minutes in the second half, Dourado Ferreira added another with Mauricio Osmar Rodrigues Britto reducing the gap thanks to a penalty six minutes from time.
On the other hand, two penalties by Damir Andjelovic on the 12th and 82nd handed Xewkija a 2-0 win over Lija Athletic.
