Mosta scored four in the second half as they returned to winning ways with an emphatic 4-0 win over Pieta’ Hotspurs at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Saturday.
A win which puts Mosta just one point behind fourth-placed Hibernians, leaving the Hotspurs at the bottom of the table, three points behind Santa Lucia.
Following a goalless first half, Mosta took the lead on the 54th minute when Clinton Bangura floored new recruit Kaishu Yamazaki inside the area, referee Ezekiel Barbara ordered a penalty and Clayton Failla converted.
Late in the game Ferebory Dore hit the woodwork for Mosta but on the 85th, they managed to double the score through substitute Michael Chidera Okoh following an assist by Precious Linus Tenebe.
Mosta made it 3-0 on the 90th thanks to another goal by Michael Chidera Okoh after receiving a through ball.
But it was not over yet as another substitute, William Legault, scored a fourth goal deep into stoppage time.
