Marsaskala claimed three precious points in the battle against relegation as they defeated Marsa 3-1 in a match from the BOV Challenge League Play-Out at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.

Rundell Renold Winchester put Marsaskala ahead after just one minute and Adrian Carabott doubled the score on the 12th with Josuel Spiteri making it 3-0 on the 39th. Teppei Iida pulled one back for Marsa five minutes from time.

In another match, St. Andrews and San Gwann shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Kemokoh Toure put San Gwann ahead on the 17th but Luka Mijic equalised on the 72nd.

In the Play-Out, St. Andrews lead the way with 32 points, followed by Swieqi on 31, Fgura 30, Marsa 27, Lija 26, Attard 23, Mqabba 21, Qrendi and San Gwann 20, Marsaskala 19, Mtarfa 14 and Vittoriosa 13.
