Senglea Athletic and Zabbar St. Patrick registered identical 4-0 wins in Group A of the Izibet Amateur League on Sunday.

At the Sirens Stadium, Senglea defeated Mellieha thanks to a brace by Gabriel Borg on the 35th and 88th and goals by Steven Meilak on the 47th and Sebastian Perdomo on the 69th.

In another match at the Sirens Stadium, Zabbar defeated Sta. Venera Lightnings courtesy of Andre Joe Cutajar on the 34th and 67th, a David Oliveira Souza penalty on the 37th and Rowad Benhamed on the 89th.

Birzebbuga St. Peter’s defeated Ta’ Xbiex 3-1 at the Luxol Stadium. Stefan Micallef put the Saints ahead on the 11th and goals by Yessous Camilleri on the 43rd and 69th extended the lead. Johan Grech scored a consolation goal for Ta’ Xbiex six minutes from time.

Pembroke Athleta came from behind to beat Qormi 3-2 in another match at the Luxol Stadium. Isaac Schembri put Pembroke ahead on the 32nd and goals by Mattias Formosa on the 56th and Jake Peplow on the 66th handed Qormi a narrow lead. However Weverton Gomes equalised on the 80th and Larkin Attard notched the winner two minutes in added time.
