Għajnsielem’s Joao Pedro Oliveira Santos and Qala Saints’ Jordi Paris won the BOV GFA Players of the Month for November and December respectively.

Joao Pedro Oliveira Santos is the BOV GFA Player of the Month for November 2022.

The twenty-nine year old Brazilian midfielder, better known as Pedrinho, joined Għajnsielem at the start of the season and his technical skills were immediately in evidence from the start of the season. Għajnsielem were involved in the BOV 1st Division Knockout and the BOV GFA cup during November where Pedrinho found opened the score in their 3-0 win over SK Victoria Wanderers and also had a fine showing in their 5-0 against Qrendi in the MFA FA Trophy.

Twenty three year old Jordi Parnis joined Qala Saints this season, and despite his young age, he has already played in top flight Gozitan football for various seasons. Jordi scored a brace in Qala’s 3-0 win over Oratory Youths and found the back of the net in the 2-0 win over Kercam Ajax to strengthen their position at the top of the BOV GFA 1st Division League Table. These performances landed Parnis the award as BOV GFA Player of the month for December.

Charmaine Borg, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s Gozo Branch presented the BOV GFA Player of the Month Trophies for November and December 2022 to Joao Pedro and Jordi respectively. Both players chose Fondazzjoni Arka to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
