Mqabba were the third team to be relegated from BOV Challenge League to the National Amateur League after losing 0-2 to Swieqi United at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Saturday.

Jean Borg put Swieqi ahead eleven minutes in the second half and Kewell Saliba doubled the score five minutes in added time.

San Gwann moved sixth thanks to a 2-1 win over Mtarfa at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Saturday.

Gianluca Zammit put San Gwann ahead and Reon Saito doubled the score nine minutes later. Genesis Fernandes de Andrade reduced the gap for Mtarfa on the 75th.

Swieqi lead the way with 44 points, followed by St. Andrews on 39, Fgura 38, Marsa 34, Lija 33, San Gwann 31, Attard 30, Marsaskala and Qrendi 27, Mqabba 21, Mtarfa and Vittoriosa 20.

Meanwhile in the Top 6, a goal by Lydon Micallef deep into stoppage time handed Sliema Wanderers a narrow win over Melita at the Centenary Stadium while Naxxar Lions beat Zurrieq 5-0 courtesy of Neil Pace Cocks on the 10th and 13th and Robinson Blandon Rendon on the 16th, 38th and 41st.
