Hamrun Spartans found no difficulty in beating Zebbug Rangers 4-0 at the National Stadium on Monday to maintain an eighteen-point lead on top the BOV Premier League table.
Zebbug, on the other hand, now share the second place from bottom with Santa Lucia with two games to go.
The Spartans took the lead on the 27th minute when off a cross by Luke Montebello, Elvis Mashike hit hard past goalkeeper Jamie Azzopardi.
Hamrun doubled the score on the 62nd minute when off a cross by Mashike, Luke Montebello rounded a defender before hitting home past Azzopardi.
A minute later, a cross by Corbalan was deflected and Elvis Mashike hit home from close range.
Substitute Leon Borg added another goal seven minutes from time, beating the Zebbug goalkeeper off a cross by Jonny.
