Zabbar St. Patrick were the last team to be promoted to the Challenge League as they defeated Mgarr United 2-0 in the final of the Izibet Amateur League Promotion Play-Offs at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.

Nick Borg put Zabbar ahead on the 18th and an own goal on the 64th sealed the issue for the Saints.

Zabbar therefore join Senglea Athletic, Msida St. Joseph and Luqa St. Andrew’s in the Challenge League.

Meanwhile Zabbar and Mgarr will face each other once again, in the final of the National Amateur Cup on Wednesday at 19:00 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
