Sliema Wanderers continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Ghanian twenty eight year old forward Karim Aboubakar.

Aboubakar played for Proud United and Medeama in Ghana before moving to Spain where he played for Leganes, AD Alcorcon, UB Conquense, CD Don Benito, CP Valdivia, UP Plasencia, Algeciras CF and Yeclano. Later he joined Hapoel Acre in Israel which was followed wth a spell at Bnei Yehuda. Last January, he moved to Azerbaijan to join Sumgayit PFC.

The Wanderers had earlier signed Jean Borg, Samuel Gomes da Mata, Gustavo Alcino, Israel Duarte dos Santos, Denis Kouao, Joseph Minala and Vito Plut.
