MFCA to host MFCA Awards night on Saturday

The Malta Football Coaches Association is organizing the second edition of the MFCA Awards, an event where the best coaches for the 2022/23 season will be rewarded.

More details were given in a press conference spearheaded by president Lawrence Aquilina, vice-president Manuel Micallef and general secretary Joe Micallef.

Aquilina announced that during this event, seventeen awards will be presented, including awards for coaches who lead teams under the age of 15, under the age of 17, youths, women, goalkeepers and even in Gozitan coaches. Other honours include the awards for the best coaches in the Amateur League, Challenge League and Premier Division while a truly special honour is the President’s Award.

MFCA vice-president Manuel Micallef said that this is a special night as the association focuses on the importance of recognizing the coaches strive hard and work relentlessly in every level of Maltese football.

MFCA general secretary Joe Micallef claimed that this in recent years the members within this association have increased substantially, adding that the association gives the necessary help whenever problems arise between coaches and the respective clubs.

The MFCA Awards will take place on Saturday 2 September at San Ġorg Preca College Ħamrun Secondary (ex-Liceo).
