Zurrieq registered an impressive 5-0 win over Zebbug Rangers at the Victor Tedesco Stadium as the BOV Challenge League kicked-off on Saturday with the first four matches.
Brite Ihuomah put Zurrieq ahead on the 9th and Ivan Sousa Flora Francisco converted a penalty on the 32nd. Glamour Eziefula Chibueze made it 3-0 just before the end of the first half. Goals by Ivan Francisco on the 62nd and James Vella eight minutes later handed Saviour Debono Grech’s side an even more comfortable win.
Pieta’ Hotspurs came from behind to beat Swieqi United 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium. Gilberto Martins Leite Carrara put Swieqi ahead on the 16th but Yuro Morita equalised on the 68th and eight minutes later, Hibiki Mochizuki notched the winner.
Zejtun Corinthians and Marsa shared the spoils in a goalless draw at the Victor Tedesco Stadium while a Terence Vella penalty five minutes in the second half handed Senglea Athletic a narrow win over Msida St. Joseph at the Centenary Stadium.
