Mosta and Gudja United earned a point each in a goalless draw at the National Stadium on Sunday.
Both sides had several players making their debut as Mosta coach Joseph Grech named goalkeeper David Udoh Akpan, Gustavo Chara, Isah Aliyu, Willie Britto and Kevin Tulimieri in the starting line-up and new Gudja coach Jesmond Zammit had new recruits Yaren Izzet Sozer, Brenner, Gabriel Mensah, Conor Borg, Ricardo Mango, Abou Toure and Mirko Esposito all making their first appearance.
During the first half, Gudja went close with attempts by Neil Tabone and Matias Muchardi with the Blues replying with a Zachary Brincat effort whcih was neutralised by the Gudja goalkeeper. In the second half, Gabriel Mensah went close twice to putting Gudja ahead.
