Zurrieq came from behind to beat Zejtun Corinthians 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium in one of the four BOV Challenge League matches in programme on Saturday.
Jairo Santos de Oliveira Filho put Zejtun ahead on the 45th but Shawn Darmanin equalised on the 67th and Kalani Capponi Delarole notched the winner on the 90th.
A goal by James Scicluna on the 77th handed Zabbar St. Patrick a narrow win over Zebbug Rangers at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
Lija Athletic defeated St. Andrews 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium. Lucas Vinicius Viana Prati put Lija ahead three minutes from the end of the first half. Brayan Samuel Nyetam Junior equalised on the 70th but a penalty by Erjon Beu on the 84th handed Lija the three points.
On the other hand, Swieqi United beat Msida St. Joseph 3-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. Gilberto Martins Leite Carrara converted a penalty on the 20th minute to put Swieqi ahead. Jame Scerri doubled the score on the 41st and although David Chidera Ejiofor pulled one back on the 56th, Michael Micallef made it 3-1 on the 70th.
