Hamrun Spartans scored two goals in each half as they defeated Naxxar Lions 4-0 at the National Stadium on Saturday.
The Spartans therefore registered their second win in as many matches while Naxxar suffered their second defeat, losing by another four goals after the 1-5 defeat to Marsaxlokk.
It took Hamrun ten minutes to take the lead when Jonny, served by Luke Montebello on the left, beat Matthias Debono with a diagonal shot.
Hamrun doubled the score on the half hour when Jonny headed the ball in the direction of Luke Montebello who rounded a defender before hitting home past Debono.
Ten minutes in the second half, the Spartans made it 3-0 thanks to Uros Djuranovic who lobbed the ball over the Naxxar goalkeeper following a long-distance cross by Steve Borg.
Hamrun made it 4-0 on the 59th with Luke Montebello beating the Naxxar goalkeeper with an angled shot from the left when served by Djuranovic.
