Fgura United suffered their first defeat in the BOV Challenge League as they lost 0-4 to Pieta’ Hotspurs at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.
Hibiki Mochizuki opened the score on the 13th minute and Claudio Antunes Pavlidis converted a penalty on the 29th, scoring another goal three minutes later. Roderick Briffa made it 4-0 two minutes in added time.
Lija Athletic also dropped their first points after being held in a goalless draw by Tarxien Rainbows at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
Zebbug Rangers earned their first point in a 1-1 draw with Luqa St. Andrew’s at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. Miguel Perez Jimenez put Zebbug ahead two minutes in the second half but Camilo Andres Sanchez Gonzales equalised on the 65th.
In another match, Attard and St. Andrews also earned their first point as they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Bledi Alla put Attard ahead on the 9th but Roderick Taliana equalised on the 20th.
Pieta’ and Lija lead the way with 7 points, followed by Zurrieq, Zabbar and Fgura on 6, Luqa, Melita and Marsa 4, Swieqi and Senglea 3, Zejtun, Tarxien, St. Andrews, Attard and Zebbug 1 and Msida 0.
