Luxol clinch Enemed Super Cup

Luxol St Andrew’s won the Enemed Super Cup after edging past University of Malta ACJ Group with a 4-3 scpre.

It was an electrifying encounter between two of the best team in local futsal. Luxol established a 3-0 advantage before half-time adding another one in the process. But the last fifteen minutes saw the reaction of the Students who scored three more goals to create a dramatic finale. Five minutes from the end, Luxol had Marwan Telisi sent off after receiving two yellow cards.

Andy Mangion surged Luxol ahead with Marwan Telisi adding two more goals before the interval. In the second half, Victor Oliveira Dias added another one for the champions to make it 4-0.

In the last fifteen minutes, University of Malta ACJ produced a fierce reaction and scored three times through Guillherme Fonseca’s double and Stefan Camilleri. But it was not enough as Luxol defended boldly till the end.

At the end of the contest, FMA president Mark Borg presented the cup to Luxol captain Mark Zammit.
