Valletta and Mosta earned a point each in a 1-1 draw at the National Stadium on Saturday.

This was the second successive 1-1 draw for Valletta while for Mosta, this was the third draw in four matches as the Blues continue chasing their first win. The Citizens remain eighth but now lie on the 5-point mark, two ahead of ninth-placed Mosta.

Mosta took the lead on the 21st minute when Kevin Tulimieri concluded a good run with a powerful drive from outside the area which gave goalkeeper Jake Galea no chance.

Nine minutes in the second half, Brandon Paiber levelled matters with a direct freekick which beat goalkeeper David Udoh Akpan.

Late in the game, Mosta could have regained the lead but Christian Ndubuisi Nnaji hit the upright from close range.
