After earning just three points in three draws out of the first four matches, Mosta registered their first win as they defeated Birkirkara 2-0 at the National Stadium on Saturday.
For Birkirkara, this was the second defeat this season and this defeat to Mosta allows the Blues to move to just one point behind them.
Mosta took the lead on the 9th minute when off a corner from the left, Zachary Brincat hit home from close range.
The Blues doubled the score on the 71st minute when following a good run by Isah Aliyu, he crossed the ball for Eric Mensah to head home.
