Malta’s Under 21 national football team is poised for another challenge as they prepare for the qualifiers against Kazakhstan for the upcoming Under 21 championship.
Coach Ivan Woods, has today announced the provisional 30-man squad. These matches will be hosted on home soil at the Tony Bezzina Stadium, with the first fixture against Kazakhstan scheduled for November 16th, followed by a clash against Lithuania just three days later, both kicking off at 18:00.
The squad includes four fresh faces, indicating the coach’s commitment to nurturing young talent. Birkirkara’s Matteo Gambin, Zejtun Corinthians’ Bjorn Buhagiar, Gudja’s Shaisen Attard, and Jamie Scerri of Swieqi United have all earned their spots in the provisional lineup.
In addition to these exciting newcomers, the squad also marks the return of Reading’s Basil Tuma, who was absent during the last international window.
