Hibernians joined Sliema Wanderers and Marsaxlokk in third place in the BOV Premier League thanks to a 2-1 win over Sirens at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.
The Paolites, in fact, joined Sliema and Marsaxlokk on the 13-point mark, leaving Sirens sharing the bottom spot with Santa Lucia on two points.
Hibs took the lead on the 22nd minute thanks to a long-distance shot by Giannis Bastianos which gave Ini Etim Akpan no chance.
The Paolites doubled the score two minutes from the end of the first half when a corner from the right created havoc inside the area and Claudio Bonanni hit home from close range.
Sirens pulled one back eleven minutes from time thanks to a goal by substitute Frank Boateng, who had just replaced Nixon Rocha, hitting home past Ibrahim Kone following a cross by Alex Cini from the right.
