Impressive 8-0 win for futsal national team over Gibraltar

Following a first ever win in a competitive match, defeating Scotland 4-1 on Wednesday, Malta made it two wins in a row in Group C of the UEFA Futsal EURO Preliminary Round, beating Gibraltar 8-0 at the Mobiliar Arena in Bern on Thursday.

Mark Zammit put Malta ahead on the 2nd minute and Maikinho doubled the score just past the 5th with Celino Alves making it 3-0 on the 13th. Twenty six seconds in the second half, Marwan Telisi increased the lead with Mark Zammit scoring his second goal two minutes later. Malta then scored three times in two minutes between the 34th and 35th thanks to Zammit and another two goals by Maikinho.

Gabriel Dobre’s side plays hosts Switzerland on Saturday.
