Six Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Edward Sarpong and Alex Satariano (Birkirkara), Matias Nicolas Garcia (Floriana), Farid Romero Zuniga (Gzira), Jake Vassallo (Mosta) and Brandon Diego Paiber (Valletta) are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s matches.

Gzira official Anthony Busuttil was also banned for one match.

In the Challenge League, Kurt Briffa (Pieta’), Sebastian Perdomo Esquivel (Senglea), Glamour Chibueze Eziefule (Zurrieq), Matteo Fenech (Lija), Camilo Andres Sanchez Gonzales (Luqa), Bradley Sciberras , Diver Duvan Torres Quinones and Precious Uchechukwu Nwankwo (Tarxien), Ayrton Mizzi (Zebbug), Kieran Paul Fenech and Jamie Zerafa (Zejtun) were all handed a one-match ban.

Luqa coach Edmond Lufi was also banned for one match.
