Champions Birkirkara will be facing San Gwann on match-day 1 of the Assikura Women’s League 2024/25. The draws were held by Malta FA Director Football Operations Stephen Azzopardi and Malta international player Maya Lucia on Wednesday.

Taking part this season are Birkirkara, Hibernians, Lija Athletic, Mgarr United, Mtarfa, San Gwann, Swieqi United and Valletta.

In the first phase, the eight teams will be playing on a double round-robin basis. For the second phase, the teams will be divided into the Top 4 Group and Play-Out Group where in each group, the teams will be playing two rounds.

The fixtures for match-day 1 are:

Hibernians vs Swieqi United
Birkirkara vs San Gwann
Valletta vs Lija Athletic
