Floriana FC signed Nigerian twenty six year old forward Franklin Olanitori Sasere.

After starting his career at Ifeanyi Ubah and playing for Sunshine Stars in Nigeria, Sasere moved to Europe to join FC Lugano in Switzerland. He was loaned to Hamrun Spartans for 2020/21 and 2021/22 but was transferred to FC Vaduz. Last summer, he moved to Ujpest FC in Hungary. 

The Greens, who have appointed Darren Abdilla as coach, had earlier signed goalkeeper Christoffer Mafoumbi, Fernandinho, Anthony Obonogwu and Thiaguinho Santos. The club has extended the contracts of Alexandros Kouros and Guy Serge Yameogo but lost or released Lorenzo De Grazia, Willis Furtado, Christos Rovas, Maksim Valadzko, James Scicluna and Mateus Souza.
