Pembroke Athleta defated Qormi 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium as the IZIBET Amateur League 1 kicked-off on Friday.
Just before the end of the first half, Kyle Sciberras Balbi put Pembroke ahead and although Cadu equalised seven minutes from time, Ryan Sciberras notched the winner four minutes in added time.
In another match, Gharghur rescued a point in a 1-1 draw.
Larson Mallia put Xghajra ahead on the 68th but Miguel Simiana equalised five minutes in added time.
