The IZIBET Amateur League 2 kicks-off on Sunday with four matches with another game scheduled for Monday.
Ten teams are taking part this season because along with the nine teams who were relegated from the IZIBET Amateur League last season, there are Victoria Hotspurs who joined the Malta FA leagues from the Gozo FA.
The National Amateur League 2 shall be played on a double round robin basis.
At the end of the league, the top four teams shall participate in the Top Four Round which shall be played in the form of a league on a single round robin basis with the top two eventually being promoted to the National Amateur League 1.
