Hibernians have swept the individual awards in the initial phase of the 2024-25 season as defender Natalee Grace Geren has been named Assikura Women’s League Player of the Month for August/September and coach Kenneth Costantino has been voted best coach of the opening round. Amber Galea completed a treble of awards for the Paolites after winning the Assikura Women’s Youth League Player of the Month accolade for the August/September period.
In the 2024-25 Assikura Women’s League, Geren has been a key player for Hibernians who have enjoyed a very positive first round to establish themselves as potential contenders for the title. The American defender, in her second season with Hibernians, also found the net in her team’s opening-day victory over Swieqi United.
Costantino has been recognised for leading Hibernians on an unbeaten run in the first round of the championship.
Meanwhile, Galea played a crucial role in Hibs’ three victories in the 2024-25 Assikura Women’s Youth League, including an important win over Birkirkara.
Lucienne Cini, Chief Operations Officer at Assikura Insurance Brokers PCC Ltd, presented the awards to the Hibernians trio at the company’s offices in Santa Venera. This is the third year Assikura Insurance Brokers PCC Limited are sponsoring the Women’s League and Women’s Youth League along with the Knock-Out competitions and the Super Cup.
