Floriana midfielder Matias Nicolas Garcia has been named December’s Lifestar Most Valuable Player.

Garcia delivered standout performances in the crucial Top 6 matches, securing 1-0 December victories over Sliema Wanderers and Birkirkara, which were instrumental in helping Floriana finish on top and win the Opening Round.

His exceptional mobility up and down the pitch, off-the-ball movement, and pinpoint accuracy in final passes, highlight the quality the Malta international brings to the game.

Out of 36 total votes, Garcia received 11, edging out his Floriana teammate Carlo Zammit Lonardelli (7 votes). Ħamrun’s Joseph Mbong (5 votes) and Sliema’s Geoffrey Acheampong, along with Żabbar’s Brian Gambarte (both with 4 votes).

Matias Nicolas Garcia was presented with the December MVP trophy by LifeStar Insurance Head of Sales, Chris Chetcuti, just before kick off in Floriana’s 4-0 win over Naxxar Lions at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
