Five Premier League players suspended

Five players were suspended by the Malta Disciplinary Commissioner on Tuesday following the weekend’s matches from the 360Sports Malta Premier.

Duvan Torres (Marsaxlokk) was banned for three matches while Eder (Hamrun), Lucas Lopez (Marsaxlokk), Sasha Cachia (Marsaxlokk) and Murilo Freire (Sliema) were handed a one-match ban.

In the BOV Challenge League, Dylan Agius (Marsa) was banned for six matches, Kyle Gatt (Marsa) for two matches while Renan Farias (Marsa), Temitope Abraham Ojo (Santa Lucia), Jurgen Grech (Gudja), Leon Muscat (Lija) and Luca Gatt (Zebbug) were suspended for one match.

Marsa coach Saviour Debono Grech was banned for two matches and Marsa official Joseph Xuereb for three months.

In the IZIBET Amateur League 1, Nestor Luis Silva (Gharghur), Carmelo Caruana and Steven Schembri (Qormi), Ayesller Carvalho (Qrendi) and Shawn Cutajar (Rabat) were handed a one-match ban.

Qormi coach Jesmond Zerafa was suspended for six matches.

On the other hand, in the IZIBET Amateur League 2, Ronaldinho Daley (Dingli), Thomas Cilia (Santa Venera) and Sam Walker (Ta’ Xbiex) were all suspended for three matches while Sven Fabri (Dingli), Ian Calleja (Ghaxaq), Anderjay Grech (Kalkara), Ryan Farrugia and Jacob Vincent Magri (Siggiewi), Dylan Mercieca and Joseph George Vella (Victoria) were banned for one match.
