Naxxar Lions will be representing Malta in the UEFA Youth League next summer after they won the BOV Youth League A after defeating outgoing champions Valletta 1-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Monday.

Jhanluis Hernandez scored the all-important goal when he converted a penalty on 13 minutes for the team led by Etienne Vella.

With two matches to go, the Lions lead by seven points over second-placed Valletta.
