Rabat Ajax came from behind to beat Luqa St. Andrew’s 2-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium and take sole leadership in the BOV National League II.
Jake Peplow put Luqa ahead on 28 minutes but Ryan Tonna equalised three minutes in the second half and Innocent John Awori made it 2-1 two minutes later.
Zejtun Corinthians were held in a 1-1 draw by Gharghur at the Luxol Stadium. Matteo Tanti put Zejtun ahead on 38 minutes and Jamiu Temilola Hassan equalised two minutes in the second half.
Ghaxaq registered their second win as they beat Siggiewi 3-1 at the Sirens Stadium. Manuel Briffa put Ghaxaq ahead on 17 minutes and although Jason Camilleri equalised three minutes in the second half, goals by Julian Farrugia and Shamizen Buhagiar on 83 and 87 minutes handed Ghaxaq the three points.
In another match at the Sirens Stadium, Msida St. Joseph registered their first win as they beat Mdina Knights 4-0. Ian Zarb put Msida ahead on 20 minutes and Uzoma Eziukwu Nnaemeka scored twice on 32 and 36 minutes. Matthew Schembri added another eight minutes from time.
An own goal just before the end of the first half handed Sta. Venera Lightnings a narrow win over Marsaskala at the Luxol Stadium while at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, St. Georges and Kirkop United shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
