Sliema Wanderers will be aiming at obtaining a third successive win as they take on Hamrun Spartans at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, kick-off at 19:30.
After a rather disappointing spell, the Wanderers bounced back with two wins in their last two outings, defeating Valletta 3-1 and Tarxien Rainbows 4-2. Six points which put them on the 19-points mark, six points behind champions Hibernians who lie in fourth place.
The Spartans are currently eighth, five points behind Sliema. In fact, following a slow start, Hamrun are doing quite well. They claimed eights points out of the last five matches. In their last outing, they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Floriana.
In the first round, Sliema registered a most comfortable 5-0 win.
