Gzira United registered their fourth win in the BOV First Division as they came from behind to beat Pietà Hotspurs 3-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.
John Roland Emeka put the Hotspurs ahead on the 14th but two minutes later, Louis René Zomé levelled matters for the Maroons. Giuseppe Muscat made it 2-1 on the 38th and four minutes later, Zomé added another.
In another match, Vittoriosa Stars registered their first win as they beat San Gwann 3-2.
Steve Meilak put Vittoriosa ahead on 28 minutes but Nikolai Muscat levelled matters on the 45th. The Stars regained the lead through an own goal on the 64th with Jan Tanti equalising six minutes later. However a goal by Miljan Milivojev gave Vittoriosa the three points.
Gzira lead the way with 12 points, followed by Senglea, Zebbug and Rabat on 7, Lija 6, Fgura, Pietà and Hamrun 4, Gudja, St. George’s, Melita and Vittoriosa 3, San Gwann 2 and Mqabba 1.
