Five players suspended after U*BET FA Trophy semi-finals

National StadiumFive players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner after being sent off in the U*BET FA Trophy semi-finals which were played last week.

Mario Muscat (Hibernians), Matthew Fleri Soler and Clayton Giordmaina (Lija), Jason Vandelannoite (Valletta) were suspended for one match while Valletta goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo was suspended until August 21, 2013, apart from being handed a two-match ban.

Tickets for U*BET FA Trophy final on sale from clubs

FA TrophyThe Malta Football Association announced that tickets for U*BET FA Trophy final between Qormi FC and Hibernians FC in programme on Wednesday at the National Stadium, kick-off at 19:30 are on sale from clubs.

Hibernians supporters will be staying in the West Stand A and Millennium Stand F while the West Stand C and the Millennium Stand D will be reserved for Qormi supporters.

Esther Azzopardi is one of 40 candidates who were officially welcomed in Zurich on Monday by FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter and FIFA Head of Women’s Referees, Sonia Denoncourt.

Jude-Amin-UtuluFIFA Beach Soccer Referee Jude Amin Utulu is currently officiating in the Euro Winners Cup 2013 being held in the Italian town of San Benedetto del Tronto in the province of Ascoli Piceno.

Jude Amin Utulu’s appointment is the first ever international participation by a Maltese referee in beach soccer. Malta has two international beach soccer referees, the other being Stefan Pace.
