Narrow defeat for Under-21 side to Belgium

The Malta Under-21 side suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat to Belgium in another match from Group 8 of the UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifiers at the National Stadium on Friday.
The visitors were a better side during the first half, taking the lead on 33 minutes thanks to a goal by Richie Kitoko who hit home from close range.
The locals improved after the break and had a good chance of restoring equilibrium on 74 minutes through substitute Ben Camilleri who however hit high from the edge of the area.
In added time, the Maltese ended in ten men after Clifford Gatt Baldacchino received a second yellow card.
