Robert Gatt names provisional squad for Liechtenstein friendly

MFA Technical Direct Robert Gatt, who is currently the caretaker coach of the national team named the provisional squad for the international friendly match against Liechtenstein which is scheduled for the 29th of February at 19:30 at the National Stadium.

The squad includes foreign-based Justin Haber (Kerkyra – GRE), Andrei Agius (Latina – ITA), Luke Dimech (AEK Larnaca – CYP), Etienne Barbara, Daniel Bogdanovic (Blackpool – ENG), Andre Schembri (Panionios – GRE).

However Barbara is not expected to make it to the final squad as he is recovering from an injury and is in fact yet to be offered a contract by the Canadian side Vancouver Whitecaps although the MLS side holds the rights over the Maltese striker.

New faces in the squad are Sliema Wanderers goalkeeper Henry Bonello, Valletta midfielder Edmond Agius and Under-21 internationals Zach Muscat of Pietà and Bjorn Kristensen of Hibernians.
